Today is the day.

Your ballot is in your hands. Today we do the two things that turn all of this energy into votes: at noon we stand on the boardwalk with Vote signs, and at 5:30 we bring our ballots to Cozy Chaos and walk them to the drop box together. Come to one, come to both. Either way you will be in very good company.

Today · Noon

No Kings: Vote Early Rally

Noon to 2:00 p.m.
Coos Bay Boardwalk · 213 S Bayshore Dr, Coos Bay

This is the ask for the afternoon: grab a Vote sign and hold it up. The signs are in the box when you get there. Take one, stand where the traffic can see it, and put it back in the box when you are done: we save them for the next rally. A sign in the air for two hours does more than a hundred posts will.

You do not need your ballot for this one, and this is a nonpartisan day of voter participation, not a protest. If you happen to have your ballot with you, the drop box at Coos Bay City Hall, 500 Central Ave is about five blocks away.

Ballot Party at Cozy Chaos

5:30 p.m. · Cozy Chaos Craft Co., 175 S 3rd St, Coos Bay

Bring your ballot and a friend. This is the one where we want you, and your ballot, in the room. We break into small groups, work through the candidates with the Abundance and Equity Rating Guide, then walk to the drop box together around 6:30 and turn them all in at once. Community first, ballots in the box before seven. Space is capped, so come early.

If you cannot make either one

Then do the one thing that decides this election anyway: fill your ballot in and find the drop box nearest you. Every ballot has to be in one by 8:00 p.m. on November 3.

A ballot going into a drop box use a drop box

So use a drop box. It is the fastest way in, and the one that cannot be postmarked too late.

If getting to a box is the hard part, anyone you trust can hand your ballot in for you: a friend, a neighbour, a family member. If anything goes wrong when you try to vote, call or text 866-OUR-VOTE (866-687-8683).

Key election dates

Today Rally at noon and ballot party at 5:30. Cast your vote with us
Nov 3 Election Day. Your ballot must be received by 8:00 p.m., when the drop boxes close.

That is the whole plan for today: a sign in the air at noon, your ballot in a box with your neighbours at six thirty. If you can help at the rally, reply to this email: we still need volunteers for de-escalation, and volunteers who can ask folks to stay on the sidewalk and out of the driveways.

Signs up at noon, ballots in the box by seven, and every one of them counts.

Cheers,
Greg
